A bit of history

Since 1980, The Language House in Madrid has been offering quality English lessons to students from Parque de las Avenidas and beyond. We are without a doubt one of the longest standing independent language schools in Spain.

Who we are

We’re linguists and teachers, we’ve done our studying, we have years of relevant experience. We know our stuff. We can answer your questions to the best of our abilities, and if we can’t, we’ll get back to you.

We are excellent at exam preparation, but we don’t lie. Whether it takes three months or three years, we’ll be there every step of the way. We really get to know you. All you have to be is consistent and give us some work.

Our classes are small and personalized. Our students are not numbers, we know your names.

We teach all skills: reading, speaking, listening and writing. We also do grammar but lots of conversations as well. Our aim is to make students well-rounded and able to use English in any context, not just a bar.

We use the latest methods and course books but we enrich them. No book or person can cover everything.

We watch movies, listen to podcasts and write stories. We read books and newsletters. We do digital and we can do some amazing online lessons.
